Press Release Summary: Recording Academy® member, Heather Schmid recording material for her new album with Grammy® Nominated executive producer Rich Balmer.
Press Release Body: Los Angeles, Calif. - Temperatures were blazing around 108 in the Los Angeles area the week of June 20th, but that didn\'t send International Recording Artist and her production team to the beach to cool off. Heather was busy making things hotter in the recording studio: writing, collaborating, tracking, laying vocals and mixing hits on her upcoming new album at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
\"The new music is something we both are feeling proud of\", Executive Producer Rich Balmer states in a recent interview. \"Our first collaboration \'The Goddess Within\' was a bit more labored and took a lot more time, now the songs are flowing very organically.\" \"This music is fun, lighthearted and doesn\'t take itself too seriously\" Heather comments as we sit outside the West Village\'s \'Pastis\' restaurant in New York. \"I know it\'s a reflection of where I\'m at right now. I have been traveling a lot this year and do try to appreciate the adventure ride I\'m on. I have given myself to really enjoying the spaces where I am, and I hope the music will reflect that\".
Glancing at Heather\'s lyric book, one of the recently recorded songs \'Catch Me a Killer\' throws me a bit off, I ask about it. She smiles, \"Rich came at me during one of our first sessions in Burbank with this track that just made me smile.\" Rich along with collaborator and widely admired guitarist Simone Cello recently wrote the track. \"Rich, Chris Young and I immediately started writing to it, and within the evening it was done.\" It\'s about a cowgirls revenge, lets say that.\" She says with a laugh.
Recording at Paramount Studio in Hollywood puts Heather in good company. Santana, John Mayer, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Black Eyed Peas to the Foo Fighters all recorded at the studios. The same week Heather was behind the mic, legendary engineer Andy Johns was in the next studio mixing. Andy\'s collaborations with Led Zepplin, Eric Clapton and The Rolling Stones made him one of the most respected engineers in the world. Good Company.
Goddess Inc.\'s branding specialist Rafay Mehdi, expects the album to be finished by September. \"The new music is very visual with clear stories and personal portrayals. I can see Heather\'s growth as an artist and as a person is serving her music well.\"
